Dear Mt. Carmel friends,
We praise the Lord for His continued provisions for Mt. Carmel. We have recently added some new staff who will help carry the load. We have low international student numbers this year and COVID-19 has caused some loss in room and board income. Together these have had a big impact on our budget; however, our dedicated faculty and staff have done an excellent job of pinching pennies and cheerfully doing their jobs with expertise to help us continue to educate young people. I have never worked with people who are more dedicated to their ministry.
We have applied for a grant to complete the remodeling of our gym. Pray that this will be awarded. This would include changing out the windows, new floor covering, new air exchange unit to reduce the moisture, and seating. The interior has been painted and looks good.
A lesson we have learned from this pandemic is our need to have our own food source. A large greenhouse would provide fresh and healthy produce for our food program.
We are looking for work teams to help with needed repairs in our buildings and campus housing—especially needed is someone who can install windows and siding and carpenters and drywallers that can finish the inside work. We have all the funding for supplies for the Science building classrooms.
Seriously pray about this COVID-19 virus. We have already accepted new international students for the fall semester, and we’re praying that travel restriction will be lifted for these students.
If you are a former student, we are always encouraged to hear what God is doing in your lives. That is our paycheck, and like everyone else, we like to get paid. You are a blessing to us, and I know that you are a blessing to our sin-cursed world. May you be successful in advancing God’s kingdom.
Thank you to all who are supporting Mt. Carmel financially and with prayer. God bless you as you draw closer to God in the area where He has placed you.
In His service,
David C. Munson, Headmaster
