Modesty, neatness and cleanliness are stressed at Mt. Carmel School because it is a way for students to be a testimony for Jesus Christ. As fads and fashions come and go, Mt. Carmel School reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of such styles in conformity to the principles stated above.
The dress code attempts to distinguish between the church, school, and home lives of its community members. All MCS students are to follow the dress code at school and at all school sponsored activities unless otherwise directed. Students are to be in dress code when arriving or leaving campus.
Trips Off Campus
Students should present a neat and clean appearance for town trips. Dirty, ragged clothing is not permitted. Students are to be clean and neatly groomed.
For field trips during the school day, students are expected to follow the standards for classroom attire unless special permission has been given.
Coaches have the authority to impose a stricter dress code on students who are traveling as part of a sports team for Mt. Carmel School. Traveling attire for team members is left to the discretion of each coach.
Each faculty and staff member has both the authority and the responsibility to enforce the school dress code. Please give them your cooperation in this area. Students who are out of dress code will not be allowed to participate in classes or other school activities until they are dressed appropriately.
